LEADERSHIP:
BISHOP DR. J.Z. VALENTIN; SENIOR GLOBAL PASTOR

Bishop Dr. John Z. Valentin was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and is the son of the late Reverend Anna Valentin, a woman of faith whose life and ministry helped shape his spiritual foundation.
At the age of fifteen, Bishop Valentin experienced a profound encounter with God that confirmed the call of ministry upon his life. From those early years, he committed himself to preaching the Gospel, serving God’s people, and developing leaders for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
In 1984, following the leading of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Valentin founded Vision Ministries, beginning in a small house with a great vision. What began with limited resources but tremendous faith has grown through decades of prayer, fasting, sacrifice, perseverance, and obedience. Today, the ministry’s influence extends beyond its Chattanooga, Tennessee, Georgia and into the Caribbean.
At the heart of Bishop Valentin’s ministry is a conviction that the Church must not only reach people, but make people whole and prepare them for the purposes of God. He has devoted his life to preaching the Word, strengthening families, developing leaders, building ministries, and preparing the next generation to carry the work farther than the generation before them.
Bishop Valentin currently serves as Chairman of the National Haitian Convention, bringing to this responsibility a deep love for the Haitian people and a commitment to unity, spiritual growth, leadership development, and the strengthening of the Haitian diaspora. His vision for this season of the Convention is expressed in three guiding words:
Honor the Foundation. Strengthen the Fellowship.
Build the Future.
He believes that honoring those who built before us must be joined with the responsibility to prepare those who will come after us. His leadership therefore seeks to preserve the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Haitian community while creating opportunities for emerging leaders, young people, churches, pastors, and ministries to flourish.
After more than four decades of ministry, Bishop Valentin continues to believe that the greatest work is not merely what we accomplish in our lifetime, but what we build that can continue after us.
His life’s assignment remains clear: to preach Christ, build people, develop leaders, strengthen the Church, and prepare the next generation for the purposes of God.
